Surrounded by meadows and framed by the lush landscape, this Cantabrian house It is the summer refuge of a large family with habitual residence in Madrid. His five children - two of them teenagers - and the dizzying pace of daily life prompted the marriage to find a spacious and comfortable holiday home where rest was assured. Furniture of diverse origin, some inherited, coexist with recent acquisitions. The harmony and decorative balance was reinforced with the choice of fabrics that cover the entire house. The important thing when organizing the environments was to have space for everyone; different seating areas were created in the lounge, just like on the porch. The dining room, with a large square table, is perfect for the family and even a large breakfast area was created in the kitchen.

The generous windows of the bedrooms played a fundamental role in the decoration; in fact, it was decided to leave them without dressing so that nature was more present in the rest areas. The predominance of earth tones and warmth of wooden furniture They greatly helped to strengthen the feeling of calm and tranquility. In the main room the conventional headboard was replaced by an oil -a marina- of a beach in the area.

As for the children's bedrooms, the classic children's motifs were replaced by nice details that do not limit the spaces by sexes or ages. The coatings - like striped wallpaper - or simple animal squares are the only ones in charge of putting the playful note in the environments. The bathrooms stand out for their functionality. They are simple to maintain and with space for family grooming supplies.

This property belongs to a promotion made in Cantabria by Pablo Lantero. Information telephone: 678 402 253.
